BREAKING NEWS! MAC Cremesheen + Pearl Swatches — You See it Here First!

Hey everyone!

Breaking news, breaking news, I have MAC Cremesheen + Pearl swatches for you!

The Cremesheen + Pearl collection is due out in August (at least for Belgium), and from what I can see there are 8 Cremesheen lipsticks and 7 Cremesheen Glasses. Do note that since I have not received official PR information yet, I am just sharing what I saw!

Ready for a sneak peek? Here we go! I do have to apologize for the pictures not being the best I have ever taken. However, I had to work with the lighting and so on that I had instead of the equipment I have in my own house!

This set of pictures has 3 MAC Heavenly Creature Cremesheen Glasses mixed in, namely Meteoric, Celestial Kiss, and Astral. The two on the right you see, Paper Lantern and Imperial Light, belong to the Cremesheen + Pearl collection.

Here we have Floating Lotus, Dynasty at Dusk, Pagoda, Rising Sun, and Double Happiness:

My quick observation is that these swatch with no stickiness, and the shimmer is pretty. Alone they might not add enough colors, but they might be fun layered on top of lipsticks!

The lipsticks include Coral Bliss, Saigon Summer, Full of Seoul, Pure Zen, Japanese Maple, Pink Pearl Pop, Shanghai Spice, and Kyoto Kiss (from the line of 3 at the top).

Swatches of Coral Bliss, Saigon Summer, Full of Seoul, and Pure Zen:

Swatches of Japanese Maple, Pink Pearl Pop, Shanghai Spice, and Kyoto Kiss:

All of them together (in the same order):

My quick observation is that the lipsticks definitely lean sheer. They feel nice and light swatched, but if your lips are pigmented I think a lot of the shades would end up looking the same. If you’re into sheer lipsticks, these might be for you. They’re definitely something you can apply easily without a mirror!

Again, I wish the photos could be better, but I had to work with what I had, and it was somewhat limited! Still, I hope you got the general idea!

  1. I haven’t heard about these products yet. They look very pretty, but my lips are quite pigmented so they might not work for me. On the other hand, I am really enjoying the Heavenly Creature’s collection! I got the Star Wonder MSF and it is so pretty. You can get so many different shades depending on where you swirl your brush! Check out my swatches 🙂

    • I meant that I haven’t seen most of the products you posted. 3 of the creamsheens are in the Heavenly Creature collection. It’s weird how they mixed a few in here. Anyway, thanks for the update on the other products!

      • Hey Em, sorry for the confusion! I saw the senior artist in Benelux yesterday and raided the samples she had with her, but she had some stuff from Heavenly Creature and everything in Cremesheen + Pearl. That’s why I accidentally mixed 3 Heavenly Creature Cremesheen Glasses in! The Cremesheen + Pearl collection is very new, and not even PR info has overflooded the blogosphere. You will see it at some point though! That’s when you’ll remember you have seen it here a long time ago :p

I’m going to check your swatches out now! xx

    • Hey Linde, Meteoric is actually part of the Heavenly Creature Collection that’s coming out in July, so mark your calendar! I also really like that color 🙂

    • I actually really like Coral Bliss, but you’re right. I would have liked to see some different colors. There are many nudes/beiges that will turn out looking exactly the same on my lips!

  2. I like all these light lipsticks that are coming out. Your swatches remind me of the Revlon Lip Butters in the way that they are light and moisturizing, although the RLB colors seem more saturated than the MAC creme sheens do… your thoughts? Are there similarities?

    • Hey Christine, I haven’t got to try these on my lips yet, so I can’t really tell (and I only own 2 Lip Butters so my impression wouldn’t be representative anyways). The thing is that half of these are nudes/beiges, and when this type of colors are sheer they are really sheer. I know that the Cremesheen formula in general wears longer, and I’m hoping these are the same. If the wear time is good they would be different enough from the Lip Butters, but before that can be tested out nothing’s for sure 🙂

    • Saigon Summer definitely stands out in this bunch! I haven’t tried a Cremesheen before, but it does feel nice and comfy swatched. I’m eyeing Coral Bliss myself and it’s probably not surprising!

  3. I think that is exactly something for me, sheer finish lipsticks! Will be on the lookout for them 🙂 thanks for sharing these early swatches! ❤

  5. Hi Sunny, oh my gosh, I think my eyes were as big as dinnerplates once I started seeing the creamsheen and lippies. I can’t wait to see the promos for this, I’m liking Full of Seoul, Japanese Maple, and Pure Zen. Awesome names, and I like a good sheer color too 🙂

    • Aww Lily there are some more mid-toned ones as well as darker matte shades though. I’m also hoping they’ll expand the line, because the formula is good!
