News Flash: Dior Introduces The New Nude (See it in Action!) & Rouge Nude!

(How gorgeous is Natalie Portman!)

If you like Diorskin Nude or lightweight foundations in general, rejoice because Dior is launching a new formulation of the liquid foundation as well as brushes and powder compacts, a highlighter, and brushes to help you achieve that natural glowing complexion!

The Dior Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup (with SPF 15. Hurrah!) comes in 17 shades. It is supposed to be very lightweight with a subtly silky finish that offers the right amount of correction without covering up the texture of your skin. The 17 shades go from very light to dark, but those with very dark skin might still be left out.

The Nude Compact is touted as the most natural powder compact. It can be applied with a sponge or brush, and the finish is supposed to be naturally radiant instead of powdery.

We all know we can’t achieve the right results with the right brushes, so Dior is coming out with 4 new ones for different purposes! 2 are designed for liquid foundations and 2 for powders, and each set comes with one for heavier and lighter coverage. These are sold separately so you’re free to choose according to the type of foundation you use and the amount of coverage you desire.

Now here is something I’ve been waiting for! I was looking for the oh-so-famous Dior Amber Diamond a while ago but couldn’t find it anywhere. I was told then that a NEW highlighter is coming out and here it is! The Diorskin Nude Shimmer will bring light to all the right places on your face and make you look radiant!

If you’re interested in seeing the products in action, here are two clips that will give you an idea:

(The model in this one is East Asian wheee)

After we’ve got our base under control, it’s time to add some natural colors to our lips and fingertips!

Rouge Dior Nude

Dior Vernis Nude: Charnelle, Trench, Grege, Dune

Rouge Dior Contour Nude. It’s transparent and I’m really intrigued!

Both of these collections will be available in Belgium on September 5th. I will keep you posted when I have more information (follow me so you don’t miss out!), but for now just remember a new generation of nude is on the horizon!

  1. Oooh I wonder when this will hit the U.S!!! And do you mean they are discontinuing Amber Diamond, Sunny? I have been wanting that one for FOREVER but never got around to it…if they do, I know many hearts will break. I better get my hands on one asap just in case!

    • Hey Becca, I don’t know when it’ll hit the US (but I do expect it to be around the same time), but I just got confirmation that Amber Diamond will be discontinued! If you really want it you might have to grab one before this comes out!

      • Wow–I actually can’t believe they would discontinue it. It’s SOOO gosh-darn popular–it’s like EVERYONE’s favorite highlighter! Ooooh they better be certain that the new Nude one is going to knock our socks off otherwise there’s going to be a LOT of angry people 😛

  2. Oh I love it! I’m really interested in the compact and the lippies! The highlighter looks nice, but I have to say that I prefer the older look, it looked prettier and it was more versatile because of the stripes. Can’t wait to see swatches!

    • Since I’ve never owned Amber Diamond (I did get to swatch it in Taipei), I won’t really be able to compare. It’ll probably come down to how natural the effect is!

  3. Natalie Portman is such a stunner.

I’m using Dior’s Airflash foundation, and I’m almost out. I wish I could repurchase, but Dior is just too expensive for me… Anyway, I think I’m more a tinted moisturizer/beauty balm kinda gal.

      • Me too! I love the way heavier foundation looks in pictures and such, but I hate the way it feels. I have pretty good skin, so I can get away with just a bit of tinted moisturizer.

  4. This new Nudes by Dior is so interesting. I love their foundation and now a new one will come out. Cannot wait to see this in Belgium. Thank you so much for the info.

  5. ahhh..I shouldn’t have clicked on this post! I never bought Dior’s brushes because I didn’t like the silver handle. Now that they’re coming out with black handles, I have to get them all.I really shouldn’t because I have too many brushes already, but they look so pretty and soft. =/ Deep down inside, I really hope the quality of these brushes are horrible, so that I don’t have to buy them. lol

  6. I’m intrigued! I have never tried Dior’s liquid foundations but I do own a few compact foundations from the brand and I love them! Will be keeping my eyes peeled for the launch of this range I’m sure! =)

  8. Natalie looks so darn beautiful. She even looked stunning with a shaved head in “V for Vendetta”.

Amber Diamond is being discontinued? Not cool, Dior. Not cool at all. 😦

    • Hey Christina! I know a lot of people have a hard time with this piece of news, but I also heard that it might be discontinued in Europe but not in the US. We’ll see!

  9. Totally OT, but Sunny! Was it *you* who won Getting Cheeky’s tendertones? If so congrats! I smiled when I saw your name. (I don’t often comment on your blog but I’m a reader!)

    • Hey Liz, to be honest I haven’t found the perfect nude, though Guerlain Shine Automatique in 200 Sous le Vent and Guerlain Rouge Automatique in 103 Chant d’Aromes come close. If I don’t use the new lip liner trick that I learnt, it’s easy for beiges/really “nude” colors to go all kinds of wrong on me. This has a lot to do with your skin tone/natural lip color though, so you might have to experiment a bit!
