Raising Breast Cancer Awareness with Estee Lauder Evelyn Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Lip Collection!

When you think about it from a guy’s point-of-view, I’m sure it’s just as hard for one to live with a female. Case in point: one morning at 820 the doorbell rang. I zoomed downstairs all bleary-eyed in my pajamas and took over a bag from the delivery man. Back upstairs, I opened it to find a brightly-colored box which holds a pink clutch, a pink lipstick, and a pink lip gloss. I oohed and aahed: “LOOK AT THIS, D! Isn’t this the cutest pink clutch you’ve ever seen? And a lipstick and a gloss! Look at it look at it!”

If Dr D’s eyes had not been closed, I’m sure he would have been rolling them way to the ceiling. His precious last moment in bed, and the girl has to ruin it with her silly pink stuff…

Oh wait, pink stuff is not silly, especially not in October because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

This year, Estee Lauder is putting out Evelyn Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Lip Collection to celebrate the company’s 20 years of support for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. They added a touch of blue to the design to represent the 1% of men who are affected by breast cancer.

In the set, you’ll find a Candy Pure Color Lipstick and a pot of Pink Innocence Pure Color Gloss.

Candy is a fuchsia pink with a metallic sheen and shimmer on me. It has the typical vanilla scent. The color is rather opaque and formula moisturizing, though it could look frosty on me if I go overboard. If your skin tone is similar you might want to use a light hand!

Pink Innocence Pure Color Gloss normally comes in a regular gloss packaging, but in this set it is housed in a pot. The lid has the same pattern as the box. It is a pale pink with a coral tinge and a lot of fine shimmer (nothing you’ll feel on your lips). Again, this is a shade I have to be a bit careful with just so that it doesn’t look frosty on me. The formula is moisturizing, non-drying, and non-sticky!

Swatch (from bottom to top): Candy one swipe, Candy heavily, Pink Innocence one swipe, Pink Innocence heavily

I am a fan of the pink snake-print clutch. If you’re going out for the night, this will hold your cell phone, lip products for touch-ups, and everything else you have to carry with you!

This is how Pink Innocence looks on me:

In Belgium, this set retails for 26,89 euros and is available at Inno Rue Neuve. It’s a good price for what you get, and more importantly 20% of it goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation!

Would you like to help raise awareness for breast cancer?
