I don’t go for anti-aging products as a rule (yet), but from time to time one strays into my cabinet. I have always been a fan of Caudalie, so when I was running out of eye cream some months ago I thought I’d look into the brand for one. This was recommended to me as something that has a light texture so I speedily went on board!

I’m back and I’ll soon be in the full swing! Today I’m showing you my haul (probably the biggest you will see to date) from Taipei! I will do my best to test these things out and review them ASAP!
Ever since I was a teenager, I have enjoyed the smells of different essential oils and the idea of aromatherapy enormously. When I discovered the Canadian brand Escents, I started exploring the wide range of essential oils they offer. I was probably one of their earliest customers when they opened their own spa, and to this day a spa session at Escents remains on the top of my priority list for my stay in Taipei.
Located in one of the busiest area of Taipei, the second you step through the door it feels entirely possible to leave the world behind. There are plenty of plants around the premises, which instantly cool and calm you down.
There are not many things I regret in life, but not using proper sun protection for some years is one of them. I am blessed with skin that tans fast and doesn’t burn, but still. I have some pigmentation spots around my cheekbones as the result.
Besides using sunscreens with a decent SPF factor (I try to aim around 30), I have decided to make brightening serums an integral part of my skincare routine. The first one I sampled? Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution.
My love for L’Occitane has not been a secret. For someone who is into natural scents and ingredients in skincare products, this is a brand you can’t miss out on. What with lavender, almond, and roses however, their Verbena line has consistently stayed off my radar.
Not anymore! Each summer L’Occitane adds some limited edition products to the Verbena line. This year they come with a citrus twist! Inspired by traditional sorbet recipes of Provence, the Sorbet Verbena products contain lemon and mint essential oils on top of verbena extract from Corsica.
(The verbena sorbet I tasted. I’m normally not a fan of sorbet, but it was perfectly summery!)
In this post I will review the original Verbena Shower Gel, the Cooling Hand Cream Gel, and the Sorbet Verbena Cooling Gloss. Only the Cooling Gloss is limited edition, but all of these are perfect for summer as they are very refreshing!
