Grace Your Cheek with Diorblush Sugar & Spice (& Everything Nice!)
Being a translator by profession (and nature), I’ve always found the world of words fascinating. Take this Diorblush for example. The original name in French, Terre de Sienne, is the equivalent of Sienna in English. The clay is widely used in oil paint pigments. If you search for it on the Internet, you will see resemblance of the real thing and the Diorblush named after it. The name in English however, does not evoke the same type of music, so here we are with Sugar & Spice (849), and a different set of associations that come with it.
But I digress… You’re not here to learn about clay, you’re here to look at a pigmented, versatile, natural blush with excellent texture!
Dior Says… Let There Be Light with Diorskin Nude Shimmer Instant Illuminating Powder!
Truth be told, highlighting was a step that I very often skipped. Either the highlighters gave me frosty sheen, or they barely did a thing. Most of the time I contoured under my cheekbones and called it a day.
Until I met Diorskin Nude Shimmer Instant Illuminating Powder, that is! I know that some people are still crying about the fact that Amber Diamond and Rose Diamond have been discontinued in Europe (I still don’t know how it is for anywhere else. Last time I checked they still existed in North America and Asia). I never got to know Amber Diamond (it had been discontinued when I made up my mind to pick it up), but with Diorskin Nude Shimmer Instant Illuminating Powder, I don’t feel deprived!
What Can Make Dior Vernis Better? Seeing Three of Them Together! Charnelle, Trench, & Bengale
Remember what they told you about not judging a book by its cover? Well, believe it or not, the same principle applies to nail polishes too. I am not big on nude nail polishes (blasphemy!). Sure I like a good one or two in my arsenal just in case I have to look very classy, but I don’t tend to get overexcited about them. When I saw Charnelle (115) and Trench (223. Two of the four new nude Dior Vernis) in the bottle, I was uninspired. Same goes to the muddy dark brown, Bengale (615. Part of the Dior Golden Jungle collection). I hemmed and hawed for a while before trying them on, and bang! I was actually more than pleased!
It’s My Instinct to Reach for Golden Browns: Dior Golden Browns Palette & Instinct Addict Lipstick
I like a good makeup challenge from time to time (like coral and reddish brown eyeshadows), but a lot of the time I prefer to stay in my comfort zone. Neutral smokey eyes with a lip color that doesn’t shout? Very me, and very Dior Golden Jungle! Have you seen their Golden Browns palette and Instinct Addict Lipstick?
