Ever since I saw Rouge Bunny Rouge Abyssinian Catbird, it has earned itself a solid place on my wish list. However, the eyeshadows in pot are rather pricey, so when the refills came out I was really happy to finally get this shade at a greatly reduced price!

Sunny Turns 28, Mostly Sunny Turns 6-month Old. A big Thank-you and a BIG Dior, Guerlain, & NARS Giveaway (300+ Euros in Value)!
Hey everyone!
Today is my birthday, and Mostly Sunny is turning 6-month-old in a couple of days too, so I reckoned it’d be a good reason to celebrate! I’m going to keep my blabber short, but I’d like to thank all of you for being there for me! It’s been a fantastic journey, and I could never have done it without you. That’s why I’m throwing a big giveaway to say thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
The giveaway will have three winners, and anyone can participate! Do you want to see what I have in stock for you (I’ll state this point-blank here. This giveaway is NOT sponsored in any sense. I bought everything with my own money)?
The three sets of prizes include #1 On the Beach, #2 By the Pool , and #3 Eternal Spring (yes I am geeky enough to give prize sets names…). I have reviewed most items here (the review for Guerlain Shine Automatique will be up this week), and I like them so much that I want to share them with you!
FOTD: Happy Saint Patrick’s Day featuring Urban Decay 24/7 in Stash, Mildew, NARS Paramaribo, MAC Humid, & Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone
Hey everybody, happy Saint Patrick’s! I know by the time this goes up it’ll be past midnight here, but for the majority of you it’s still Saint Patrick’s, so let’s pretend it’s all OK :p
To create my Saint Patrick’s Day look, I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in Stash as base, blended out with my finger. I then put the lighter shade of NARS Paramaribo on the inner half, and then MAC Humid on the outer half. My inner corners are highlighted with the browbone shade on the left column of Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone. I lined my upper lash line with Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel liner, and my lower lash line with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in Mildew. I smudged both out with the crease shade on the right column of Comfort Zone.
I used Cargo Rome on my cheeks, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess to contour. On my lips I had MAC Butterfly Dream layered on top of MAC Sweetie.
Here are some more pictures so you can see everything from different angles. Do excuse the huge pimple I didn’t manage to cover up on my chin. It has actually been majorly improved compared with how it was a couple of days ago!
For someone who would wear green eyeshadows on any given day, Saint Patrick’s Day is like a happy free-for-all! In retrospect I could have blended everything higher for more drama, but it was actually the first time that I layered eyeshadows on top of a liner, so I still have to practice some more!
Did you guys wear green for Saint Patrick’s Day? Do you have a favorite green eyeshadow? Or is green a color you haven’t found the courage to wear?
I hope you’re having a nice weekend! I’ll be working on the Katy Perry false eyelashes post tomorrow, so you can keep your eyes peeled for that 🙂

Swatch & Review: NARS, Take Me to Paramaribo (Limited Edition Eyeshadow Duo)
Hey everybody! If Mondays are always a little gloomy, I’m here to brighten up your day with my swatch and review of NARS Paramaribo. Please bear in mind that this is limited edition, but I just checked HQHair (where I got it from) and it’s still in stock. Don’t hesitate too much if you like what you see!
NARS Paramaribo is described as “metallic shades of brass and bronze,” but there is way more to these colors than what can be put in so few words! The lighter shade is what I would describe as a golden brass with a strong metallic finish. The best part? It flashes green! As long-time readers already know, anything that is gold or green makes me weak at the knees. Something that is gold AND green? YES PLEASE! I actually had the worst problems ever when I was trying to take swatch pictures of this shade. For some reason my camera is perfectly capable of picking the darker shade up, but not this one. After so many frustrating failed trials, I hope my photo somehow does it justice. I was a little worried the “burnished” quality of this shade will darken my eyes, but to my pleasant surprise it doesn’t! As you can see in my FOTD, it keeps my eyes awake and bright! The texture and pigmentation of this one are good (though not the best I’ve seen). I found that I needed to build it up a little on my lids, but it is true-to-pan and resistant!
The darker shade is a bronze with golden shimmer. I see some green in it, but it is one of those things that change quite a bit depending on your undertone. On some people I can barely detect green, while on others it’s much greener. The texture and pigmentation of this one are divine. It practically melts on my skin, and it makes a great crease shade because it is dark enough to define, but easy-to-blend so that it looks natural. I swatched another bronze shade I own next to it, which is Urban Decay Smog. However, Smog looks so much warmer it practically pulls mauve, which is something I didn’t expect!
Since Paramaribo is my first NARS eyeshadow duo, I am going to quickly go over the packaging. I like how sleek the black compact looks, and the rubbery feeling also feels interesting. I would normally never use the mirror, but it’s nice how a decently sized one is included. However, I can already tell it holds fingerprints and I’ve heard if any powder gets on it, it is impossible to clean it off. I wish NARS had taken a more practical approach, because a duo like this lasts forever, and it’s annoying to think it’ll just gather more and more dirt!
Bottom line: If gold/brass/bronze is your thing, you might want to get hold of Paramaribo while you still can. As far as I can tell both shades are unique enough, and they make an easy-to-use combination that I would wear all year round!
What do you think about Paramaribo? Do you own any NARS eyeshadows? Any recommendations?

PS: NARS Eyeshadow Duos retail for 34 US dollars, and they are 29.80 euros plus free delivery on HQHair (there are 2 grams in each shade so it’s got significantly more product than most eyeshadows out there). I bought mine when I had a coupon code. Even if you’re not buying anything from HQHair right at this moment, I would suggest you subscribe to their newsletter so that you can be updated about the good deals that are going on!
PPS: Paramaribo is the capital and the biggest city of Suriname (located in South America). It is one of the few countries in which Dutch is spoken as an official language.
FOTD with NARS Paramaribo & Guerlain Coque d’Or (120) Rouge Automatique
Hey everybody,
How’s your weekend so far? The weather feels almost like spring here today, so we went out for a walk and sushi dinner. Since I wanted to test some stuff out, I thought I’d show you an FOTD!
I used NARS Paramaribo for my eyes, with the lighter shade on the inner half and darker on the outer. My inner corners were highlighted with the Browbone shade on the left column of Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone. My upper lash line was lined with Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black, lower lash line with Urban Decay Bourbon and then smudged out with the darker shade of Paramaribo. I used Tarte Blissful on my cheeks, a bit of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze, and some Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer to contour. For some reason, I thought the slightly “retro” Paramaribo would go well with Guerlain Coque d’Or, so that’s what ended up on my lips!
A couple more shots so you can see the eyes better:
I will swatch/review Paramaribo and Coque d’Or soon (expect them early next week), but I can tell you I’m getting a major kick out of both!
One last picture:
I finally managed to keep one post short and sweet! Thanks for reading, folks! For those of you who have stuck around, a big thank you and I will keep trying to keep you entertained 🙂 For those of you who just found this blog, please subscribe or leave a comment if you like what you see, and I promise there are only better things to come!
I hope you’re enjoying a fantastic weekend!
