I used to use only waterproof mascara because they tend to hold curls better, and I lived somewhere very hot and humid. My recent experience has convinced me that non-waterproof mascara could be just as good, but rest assured I’ll need some good waterproof mascara for my trip back home.
In the frenzy of summer waterproof mascara releases, MAC has jumped on the bandwagon with Zoom Waterfast Lash Mascara. For some extra definition, I’m also reviewing the Coffee Eye Pencil in the same post. Curious yet?
Dior Vernis Saint-Tropez isn’t exactly new news. Back in July 2011, it was launched in extremely limited quantity to celebrate the Dior boutique opening. It sold out so fast that it broke numerous hearts. I’m sure when it was brought back with the Croisette Collection many could barely suppress a yelp of joy!
I liked the swatches I saw back at the time, but I never looked into it since from what I read it was sold out at lightening speed. Also, here is the thing: I know it is some kind of silly bias, but I had (and to a certain extent still have) the idea that turquoise, like most blues, would not work for my skin tone.
I am going to make a confession that will make most beauty bloggers and readers scream: I am not (yet) a fan of taupe.
Before you pelt me with stones however, you have to hear my story. In the beginning of this blog, I swatched the NYX Rock and Roll trio (click here for a trip down memory lane). While I was impressed with the quality in general, I just never managed to make the colors work for me. Since people say the middle shade is a dupe for MAC Satin Taupe, I did the math and decided that taupe is not for my rather warm skin tone.
However, recently, to help a bride who never wears makeup to obtain a small amount of foundation she needed for her makeup trial and big day, I had to purchase something from MAC. That’s when I thought: maybe I can make this immensely popular shade work for me after all. Long story short, Satin Taupe ended up in my hands.
Hey everyone, happy Monday! What better way to celebrate the beginning of a new week with some colors right? I laid my hands on the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette very recently. I am not going to review this palette in full because it’s old news, but with the “new” eyeshadows coming out, I would like to share my thoughts on the ones that are available as individual eyeshadows with you. I also got Rockstar as an individual shadow, so you’ll know what you can expect packaging-wise!
The shades in the 15th Anniversary Palette that are available as individual eyeshadows now are Midnight Rodeo, Vanilla, Evidence, Blackout, and Chase. They were brand-new and exclusive to the palette when they came out, but have become popular enough to be purchased individually. Want to see why they’re such charmers? Read on to find out!
I get excited about makeup in general, but eyeshadows are my biggest weakness. I have always wanted to try something from Hourglass, and a while ago I settled on their Visionaire Eye Shadow Duo in Dune.
