About Mostly Sunny, your beauty culture translator

Hello there, it’s Sunny here!

I come from Taiwan, and I moved to Belgium in September 2008. I am a freelance translator, the mother/human companion of two gorgeous kittens, Tango and Muffin. Above all, I’m a skincare/makeup enthusiast, newbie chef of my own kitchen, and a moth to a flame when it comes to wearing bright colors! I find myself passionate about a lot of things, and I’d like to share these passions with all of you!

For reference I’m MAC NC30 with rather warm undertone, and I try to bear that in mind when I browse/purchase makeup items. I have monolidded almond eyes, and I strive to play to my strengths when it comes to putting on makeup. If you’d like to see how I do that, please stay tuned!

More than showing you pictures of hauls, I like to share how I use a certain product. My personal philosophy is that just owning something cool isn’t enough, you might want to know how to use it! I am not at all professional, so if you have different ideas, you are more than welcome to enlighten me!

I call myself your beauty culture translator because obviously I am very interested in beauty, I work as a translator, and besides my experience of living in Asia and Europe, I befriended many North Americans in my early 20’s. I believe my diverse cultural background plays an important rule in my beauty blogging, as I will be able to translate different cultural values of beauty for you!
